HOW WE SERVE

  • Connector.Connector.

    Facial Reconstruction Surgeries

For more than 50 years, The India Project has provided life-changing surgeries to children of India born with cleft lip, cleft palate, and other facial deformities at no cost to the patient.

  • Connector.Connector.

    Basic Health Screenings

Our health assessment camps deliver much needed medical attention to poverty-stricken areas of India.

  • Connector.Connector.

    HIV and AIDS Screenings

Since 2015, we have provided more than 1600 free screenings to residents of India’s largest slums, including the Hijra (transgender) and LGBTQ communities.

  • Connector.Connector.

    Creating Village Schools

The India Project provides literacy opportunities for children and adults with schools in 12 villages of West Bengal. Our curriculum allows students to sit for national exams and empowers them to pursue higher education.

    Sustenance for Women

We provide women in rural areas with skills and supplies to support their families. Through fish hatcheries, chick hatcheries, and mushroom farming, women are able to provide for their families without exploitation.

    Craft Revival

Strengthening ties to cultural traditions, our craft revival focuses on tribal painting, local embroidery techniques, handweaving, and the ancient art of home dyeing.
